What is a saved view, and why would I want one?

A view is simply a set of filters you have given a name to.

The filter row above the claims list is how you ask the list a question. Search by claim number, patient or payer. Filter by status, by payment, by payer, physician or provider group, by source, by service date range, by balance. Group the list and put a subtotal on each group.

The real power is combining them. Ask for every denied claim filed under one doctor, and the summary line rewrites itself to describe just that pile of work.

You will ask that same question tomorrow, and the day after. So you save it with a name, and it comes back exactly as you left it. No rebuilding, nothing to remember.

Two examples that most offices end up with:

• Denied claims for one doctor, because that doctor’s denials tend to have one cause.
• Denied claims for the whole practice, worked after the first pile is empty.
